Description :

It is plastic moulded and mounted on wooden board. The parts of Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) model is coloured. The DNA molecule consists of two long parallel chains or stands which are joined together by short cross bars at regular intervals. The two chains are spirally coiled about each other to form double helix. The bases face interior of the double helix whereas sugar and phosphate components form a backbone on the outside. Bases are: Adenosine, Guanine, Cytosine and Thymine. They are represented as A, G, C and T and A is linked with T whereas C with G by Hydrogen bond.
