UCS-30 contains MCA (Multi-Channel Analyser) with an internal pre-amplifier, computer controlled amplifier, high voltage, upper and lower level discriminators, ADC, and Multichannel Scaling for half-life and decay studies
UCS-30 is operated using a computer (PC or Mac) via a USB connection.
It includes Mossbauer interface and preamplifier power output (±12 V) for connecting detectors with external preamplifiers such as proportional counters and CdZnTe probes.
Sodium iodide (NaI) scintillator is primarily used for detecting low levels of gamma radiation.

UCS 30 : Input BNC connector, Output MHV connector, High voltage 0 to +2048 volts,computer controlled in 2 volt increments, USB connection, AC Power adapter.
NaI Detector : For detecting low levels of gamma radiation. Dimension 38.1 mm x 38.1 mm (diameter x thickness), NaI crystal coupled to a photomultiplier tube.
Lead shield : To ship and store higher activity sources up to 1″ diameter disk sources. Exterior Dimensions 2.25” x 3.6”, Interior Dimensions 1.25” x 2.65”, Wall thickness 0.5”, Weight 2.13 kg.
