About: This newly developed digital rapid moisture meter is lightweight (around 1 kg) and easy to operate, providing quick moisture measurements without the need for grain compression. Its non-destructive testing method makes it ideal for rapid moisture assessments in various environments.
Application: Calibrated for wheat, paddy, and rice, this rapid moisture meter is perfect for field work in mandis and other locations outside traditional lab settings. Its portability and ease of use make it a valuable tool for on-site testing.
Construction: Made from high-quality, durable plastic materials, the meter is built for reliability and ease of use. An integrated handle allows for easy handling, while the grain feeding mechanism on top ensures consistent feeding into the test cell. The front panel features a four-key membrane keypad and a two-line LCD display for intuitive operation.
Working Principle: This grain moisture meter works by measuring the dielectric constant of grains. Since water has a higher dielectric constant than grains, the meter detects moisture content by how it alters the grain’s ability to store electrical energy. The capacitance measurement is then converted into a moisture percentage, with calibration for different grains.
Operation: The device is equipped with a membrane keypad for selecting commodities and menu options. Grains are poured into the funnel, and the lever is twisted to release them into the test cup. Pressing the read switch displays the moisture content on the LCD screen.
